We actively support and participate in the local food pantry in Mill Township, The Well.  The Well has been serving non-perishables and perishables to those in need in Jonesboro and Gas City since 1982.  Our pastor is on the board, and our members participate in donations and distributions.  We find that in serving, we ourselves grow.

We are a Matthew 25 congregation in our denomination.  That means we have committed as a congregation to live into the Matthew 25 initiatives of feeding the hungry, visiting the sick and imprisoned, and clothing the naked.  Jesus tells us that whatever we do to (for) these you do to (for) him.  As a witness to Christ in the world, from our church in Jonesboro, we study, plan, and implement ways to combat systemic poverty.  As we serve others, we build a more vital and relevant congregation.
